The Junior Referee program at Heights is an opportunity for 3rd-5th graders to improve our school during recesses. Students apply and upon acceptance are committed to working at least once a month for a week on one of the three playgrounds during a recess period. Junior Referees monitor equipment, help referee games, and facilitate the Get Fit Running Club. In the 2016-17 school year the Junior Referee program will be working together with “Soul Shop” and a “peacemaker” option will be added to Junior Referee. Students have the option to be a Junior Referee during the first half or second half of the year. The Program usually has between 70-80 members.
